Information on working hours is collected for employed persons. According to ILO definition a person is considered to be employed if he or she works for at least one hour during reference week, or does not work due to holiday, illness, etc. but normally is in employment. Persons on long-term absence as e.g. women on parental leave are included in the category of employed persons if they have a formal attachment to the job. The figures relating to part-time usually include persons on parental leave, for whom the most recent working arrangements are recorded.
