Labour market policy

It is the task of labour market policy

  • to contribute to the prevention and elimination of unemployment
  • while ensuring basic social and economic principles
  • and thereby bringing together labour force supply and demand as completely, economically viable and sustainably as possible.

The aim of the policy is to ensure that the economy is supplied with workers and that all persons who are available to the Austrian labour market are employed.
