Job vacancies

The Job Vacancy Survey started in the first quarter of 2009. In 2020, 102 600 vacancies were reported, representing a decrease of 20% compared to 2019 (128 200). There was a great demand in service and sales workers (22.1% of all vacancies) as well as craft and related trade workers (21.6%). Only compulsory education was required for 36.3% of all vacancies, a little less than one quarter of all vacancies required a secondary school leaving certificate or a higher degree. 15.1% of all vacancies were vacancies for part time jobs, 2.3% were vacancies for minor jobs. About 10% of all vacancies were open for seasonal workers.
