Costs and financing of residential construction
The previous legal basis for conducting this statistical survey was the former statistics regulation on residential construction, which expired at the end of 2002. The last survey was conducted for the reporting year of 2001. To continue statistical recording a new executive order based on the Austrian Federal Statistics Act 2000 has to be enacted. As mentioned briefly in the section on completions, there still is no sufficiently large number of responses needed for a basis of this survey in the related Address, Buildings and Dwellings Register (available in German only) . This causes the delay in enacting the required new executive order.
