Rail accidents

The number of significant accidents rose from 81 in the preceding year to 98 in 2015. 19 accidents (2014: 8) were associated with the transport of dangerous goods. During 5 (2014: 3) of these accidents dangerous goods were released.

In 2015 the number of serious injury accidents with a total of 62 persons seriously injured increased (2014: 60) and 37 persons (2014: 24) were killed.
