From the reference year 2014, the population for the survey of general aviation is compared and adapted in an automated manner to the data of the Austrian aircraft register of Austro Control GmbH. The assignment of the population to each survey is now based on the Austrian aviation and air transport companies published by the BMVIT. In the course of adaptation the explanations for the surveys have been revised. Therefore, a comparison with previous years is limited.
From 2014, the total number of aircraft movements in non-commercial engine power flight does not include military flights. This change also affects the previous years.
