Vienna, 2020-02-05 – In 2019, the turnover of Austrian retail trade enterprises increased by 2.1% compared to 2018, as Statistics Austria reports on the basis of preliminary results. Taking inflation into account, sales rose by 1.3% in 2019.

In December 2019, the turnover in retail trade increased by 1.4% in nominal terms compared to the corresponding month of the previous year. In real terms, the turnover of Austrian retail trade enterprises decreased by 0.6%.
