Vienna, 2021-02-10 – The construction output price index for the entire building construction and civil engineering sector (base year 2015) reached 112.5 index points (+2.6%) in 2020, according to calculations by Statistics Austria. In the fourth quarter of 2020, this index altered to 113.2 points, which represents a growth of 2.5% over the fourth quarter of 2019. In comparison to the third quarter of 2020, the construction output price index increased by 0.3%.

The construction output price index of building construction changed to 115.8 index points for the year 2020, which is an increase of 3.1% in comparison to 2019. Whereas the index of civil engineering increased by 1.8% to 108.2 index points in the same period.
