Vienna, 2021-02-05 – The index of wholesale prices (WPI 2020) amounted to 103.1 (preliminary value) in January 2021 and thus decreased by 0.1% against January 2020, as Statistics Austria reports. Compared to December 2020, wholesale prices rose by 2.1%.

Starting with the release of January 2021, the reference year of the wholesale price index changes to 2020 (WPI 2020). The wholesale price index series based on the reference year 2015 (WPI 2015) has been discontinued.
